Gifyo Community Guidelines
Gifyo is a great place to share your life with both new and old friends. Whether you're conversating with childhood friends or meeting new friends from all around the world, it's important to do your part to keep Gifyo a fun and thriving community.
Please do your part in keeping Gifyo a fun and safe community by sticking to these simple guidelines:
Gifyo is not for pornography or sexually explicit content. If this describes your gif, don't post it on Gifyo. Also, be advised that we work closely with law enforcement and we report child exploitation. Please read our Safety Center and stay safe on Gifyo
Don't post videos showing bad stuff like animal abuse, drug abuse, under-age drinking and smoking, or bomb making
Graphic or gratuitous violence is not allowed. If your gif shows someone being physically hurt, attacked, or humiliated, don't post it..
We encourage free speech and defend everyone's right to express unpopular points of view. But we don't permit hate speech (speech which attacks or demeans a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, and sexual orientation/gender identity).
Things like predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, intimidation, invading privacy, revealing other people’s personal information, and inciting others to commit violent acts or to violate the Terms of Use are taken very seriously. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from Gifyo.
Protect your privacy and respect the privacy of others. Take care not to give out personal information like phone numbers, email addresses and home addresses. Sometimes little things like a t-shirt with a school or local sports team on it might give away more information than intended.
Everyone knows spam is annoying, so please don't post pictures or comments in a repetitive or automated way to promote things (like your account, a website or a product).
Help Others Follow The Rules: Report Inappropriate Content
If you see a posting that is unsafe or violates the Community Guidelines, click the "Report" link on the page.
Gifyo staff reviews the reports and takes appropriate action, which may include removing content, issuing warnings, temporarily disabling access to features, account suspension or even account termination. If your account is suspended or terminated, you are not allowed to create a new one, so this is pretty serious stuff!
