That's a fair call.. Perhaps Gifyo should make a hall of fame gifs? So then there is trending.. then hall of fame is to those awesome gifs? (Hall of fame should consist of the top 50 likes? idk..)

@ScottyTee it's not about views/likes/comments, it's picked by that one guy that picks the "trending" gifs. So it's pretty much random and not what's actually trending.
